As per Glenni's request.. here is Shaunte's recipe for crockpot roast.
Now i just picked up a random roast at the store, i really have no idea how to pick one except to just buy a big hunk of meat. LOL
Crockpot Roast
1 pkg onion soup mix
1 pkg Au Jus mix
1 tbsp liquid smoke
some bay leaves
1/2 cup water
a roast of some sort
Put it in crockpot on low late at night before bed.. serve for dinner the next day.
I added a bag of baby carrots and some cut up potatoes in the morning. I had to crank it to high for a couple hours after lunch to make sure the carrots cooked through.
It was delicious. My dad loved it. Bob said when he woke up in the morning our house smelled like "the land of delicious meat"
(our running joke lately - Geico has a commercial for lowering rates in Virginia... and the lizard says "Virginia - the land of delicious meat")
(sometimes i get tired of always explaining our weird jokes. dude.. we're so weird)

dude, only 1/2 cup water and you cook it for like 20 hours? i need recipes for the cooking impaired :) and just pick up a hunk of meat, LOVE that. writing that on my grocery list, one hunk of meat. will let you know how it goes in my house this weekend.
