Met up with a really nice lady and her child Xavier.. we seem to run into them at just about all the homeschool events we go to. Strolled the outside portion of the museum with them before they had to go to their class. The boys kept running to the next "orange dot". The orange dots were on trees. And nearby each dot would be a sign explaining what type of tree it is. They were cute.
It's always fun to do field trips with homeschoolers. Makes me giggle when no one knows how to line up... or how to raise their hand before speaking. It's a blessing. We got lost for a moment looking for our class... i asked an old security guard. He says... "
Well you can't be a class of one... where are the other kids in your class?" I just smiled and said "oh i think we're meeting over there...". But he didn't realize that we are indeed a lucky, blessed class of one! :)
Here's a funny story... as we are at the touch tank... talking a lovely little old man... the man is explaining the parts of the horseshoe crab... while holding it upside down for us to see. He casually asks.. "now do you know how to tell a boy from a girl?" Alex looks up... points to my chest and says... "well girls have these..." OHHH... the little old man blushed and quickly said "nononono.. i meant crabs.. boy and girl crabs..." I wanted to die. Later... I let Alex get a little stuffed sea turtle to join his stuffed stingray that he got at the museum last time. Later that night he's on my lap with his sea turtle... he says the sea turtle hasn't met you before. I said "hello sea turtle, I'm the mommy" Alex says "yes he's trying to figure out the boob and no boob thing and why we're different" Seriously?!? Is this boy obsessed with boobs or what?! He's is Pappap's boy for sure... shares his other main interests too.. Nascar and golf. LOL.
