WHRO Studio Tour

We went on a field trip today with our homeschool group to tour the WHRO public broadcasting station. We visited 3 radio stations and a TV station in the building. The tour guides were all wonderful and they really made it special. Alex was enthralled. He is so into machines and how things work... it was overwhelming. Then... came the best part of all. We all know how Alex is a ham. They let the kids into the studio where they tape some of their news shows. Let them be on camera and see themselves in the monitor. They even got a turn to control the big camera. Alex did NOT want to leave and is asking when can we go back on another tour. So now he wants to be an actor so he can be on TV as a kid... since i told him he'd have to be a grown up before he could be on TV as a broadcaster/journalist. Sigh. LOL'

Worst part - I went to grab my camera and realized i left it on plugged into my computer last night and the battery was dead. The one time i have wished that my camera took replaceable batteries. The photo ops were out of this world and i missed it... ahh well...
