Conversation with Alex

On the back porch yesterday, the 2 of us in our rockers... we talked about things we are thankful for. After taking turns for a while, Alex says..

Alex: I am thankful i'm not a girl.
Mommy: Why is that?
Alex: I don't want to have to born a baby.
Mommy nods: Understandable, any other reason?
Alex: I don't want to have to shave my legs either.

At another point in the conversation...

Alex: I am thankful for gold treasure! I wish i could touch some real gold.
Mommy: Here's my ring, it's real gold.
Alex: (puts it on his finger) oh look i'm married!
Mommy: Who are you going to marry?
Alex: (Sighs) I guess i will have to marry Audrey.
Mommy: BAHAHAHA, Audrey is already married to Todd sweetie!
Alex: Oh.
