Bird update and Travel Journals

Taking a break from a busy yet productive day. Cleaning, cleaning, and then some laundry. It's almost the big day.. daddy comes home late late tonight... we're doing some last minute cleaning, getting the house in order and last minute laundry done.

Alex has helped out some... but mostly he's been running around with his new Pirate shirt on (thanks Target), his pirate hat (thanks to the touristy store's half off sales in the Outer Banks in October), a pirate eye patch (thanks Renaissance Faire), and a crocheted dagger (what was i thinking when i made that?!) making up all sorts of adventures... (yes we did get our schooling in today too.. just basics today.. we're way too excited LOL)

We participated in the Great Backyard Bird Count this past weekend, that was a lot of fun. Alex loved keeping count of the groups of birds and running over to our tally sheet to update it. They sent us a nice certificate today for participating. It's on the fridge now :) Here is our latest bird update!
