Letterboxing

This Tuesday we're going to go Letterboxing with some people from our Homeschool group... after looking it up and getting interested, we decided to find a set of letterboxes that are very near our home this weekend. Check out www.letterbox.org!

Basically someone hides a weatherproof box in a public park/nature area. They post clues online then you get to go search and find it. Inside the box is a journal and a stamp. You bring your own stamp, stamp their journal and stamp your own journal with their stamp. The ones we found today were of the symbols of Virginia.. a Cardinal, Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly, and a Dogwood. Very cool stamps!
