What a great nature day we had today! It started off with seeing Juncos! We've been very excited that the Juncos have arrived for the winter season, Alex has been looking for them all fall. Then we watched the squirrels gorge themselves on all the acorns in the yard. After they fed then they diligently buried acorns around the yard LOL.
We took a bike ride (in our short sleeves!) and checked out the little river. We saw a flock of cormorants! We watched them diving for fish then eating them. Way cool! As we were watching them, a beautiful Great Egret landed very close by. It was amazing! I wish i had brought my camera on the bike ride... ahh well.. next time!
We are very thankful for the beautiful weather (though it is a tad too warm upstairs now lol). I am so thankful that we get this little bit of nature even though we live in a suburb.. we are blessed :)
