December 16

Trying to get back in the saddle after Audrey's visit! Alex had a blast today with a box of costumes from his friend Devlin... he wore it on and off all day lol. He got inspired to make a tank to go with his new Lego sets from Audrey. And we even made paper snowflakes today! This on top of all the errands and chores we had to do today.. it was crazy :)

On another topic - sometimes things are put in front of you for a reason and today one of the blogs i follow had a post that really hit home. It was about holiday stress and families. Here is the part that I really needed to see:

1. Your spouse comes first.
The Bible even talks about this one — a child will leave their mother and father and cleave to their spouse. When you get married, it’s time to grow up and leave your parents. This doesn’t mean you emotionally kick them to the curb or cut all ties, but you do need to establish your own family. By putting your spouse first, you are choosing the adult role of being a husband or wife over the role of being a child in your parent’s family.
