Spring Break Day 6

This was a crazy day!! In the morning we took the kids down to the ocean to play. But it was sooooo windy that it was sandblasting a layer of skin from us. The kids of course didn't care but we couldn't stay long. Poor Nathan couldn't come out at all because "it hurt!" So back inside we went... we got them all showered up then had lunch and a birthday party! Jack and Alex have birthdays soon so we had cupcakes and some presents for them. Alex was thrilled with the Lego Bento lunch box he got and the new minifigs! After that... well... there is a lot you won't see in pictures. I tried to go home and pick up some Busch Gardens passes but Sandbridge road was flooded.. and i had quite an adventure to get home. On the way back Sandbridge was closed so i had to go through Dam Neck base to get back! Then the storms and tornado warnings started happening. Audrey quickly tried to heat up spaghetti and meatballs before the power might go out, I filled water cups, Leslie grabbed extra blankets and pillows in case we'd have to go to the only room on the first floor - the stinky laundry room. Poor Leslie and her kids had been traumatized by a severe tornado in their neighborhood recently... so this was not a good night for them. Luckily we got no tornados... just some rain and thunder.. and a beautiful rainbow!

Day 6
