And we're back...

Hopefully we'll be home for a little while!

News.. My mom had emergency surgery while i was gone. She had a complete 360 degree twist in her bowel and had to have a section removed. She is recovering at home now and doing well. It was a scary time and i wanted to go home but she wanted me to stay and take care of her parents.

Our trip went very well. We were so glad to be helping the grandparents out. Poppop was so happy to have someone cook for him and Mimi was happy to have someone put her socks on for her. We enjoyed being there very much. Poppop bought a battery powered train set to keep at his house for the kids and Alex had a blast with it. Alex also kept Poppop very busy with his new obsession... building domino runs.. where you line them up and knock them down. Uncle Tommy took us around to the cemeteries where our relatives are.. i wanted to get some pictures and dates for my family tree i'm working on. It was an interesting experience.. especially explaining it to Alex. Poppop was also scheduled to preach at a nursing home on Wed and we tagged along. It was really nice and the old ladies just loved up on Alex with lots of hugs and kisses. It was cute and he was super friendly and lovable to them.

Hope everyone is doing well, i feel out of touch with everything! I'm off to scrapbook with my friends today for some much needed fun time!

Good JOB! Looks like you guys took good care of everyone. Give your mom my best wishes for a speedy recovery. She is a nice lady. That is no fun to have your mom and your grandparents sick. You are a sweetie and keep up the good work on the genealogy!

Good news about the Grandparents, so sorry your mom had to have surgery. Tell her I hope she's feeling better soon and that she's a great mom. Hug Alex and say hello to Bob. The weekend of the 15th it is, can't wait to see everyone.
