We had a nature day today!

It started with a nature walk around the neighborhood. We put masking tape around our wrists with the sticky side out so we could collect leaves, flowers, seeds, etc that reminded us of spring. Alex had a BLAST. He thought it was the best thing ever. We saw 2 sets of baby ducks, watched one set do some cliff diving off of a steep bank.. it was hysterical... mostly because we did sound effects for them. We came home and did some teeball practice in the yard for a while. Dad came home soon after and he helped us get our seedlings into pots. He even put together a raised bed box in the garden for our pumpkin seedlings. Alex dug for bugs and worms. Not a whole lot of luck as it's cold today. He wanted to try out a bug sound machine that the Vrolyks got him for christmas. You put bugs in it and it magnifies their sounds. We finally did get a roly poly bug in there and got to hear it scampering across. Very cool.
