More Birds.... i know.. it's a sickness

Ok so we're all obsessed with the birds here! It's ok.. it's educational LOL.

Been very busy this week, plus Alex has been/still is sick. We went over to visit some homeschool friends and see their Disney trip pictures. Poppop and Mimi came over Thursday to entertain Alex while i did some chores. Friday we had to miss cooking class because Alex is sick :(

Amidst it all, we've been homeschooling as well. We've really enjoyed studying Astronomy. There is nothing like witnessing Alex's joy and excitement about something he's learning... when he found the constellation Orion in the sky, he was ecstatic and we've been out every night since to find it again. Hopefully once he feels better we'll head out to the country to see more of the constellations.. the light pollution here is terrible. In the meantime, i punched holes in the lids of oatmeal containers in the shape of constellations and using a flash light, we shined them up on our ceiling. Made our own night sky! :)

I made our Body for Life oatmeal pancakes this week... and i made them into the shape of a snowman for Alex. Closest thing he'll probably get to a real one. He loved it! "I don't want to eat yet, I want to keep looking at my snowman" LOL
