Fireflies and more...

We let Alex stay up late last night to watch the fireflies... watching him chase them around... a gasp of wonder... but we didn't see that many. Bob said he saw a lot more the previous night. Very soon we figured out why they might have been hiding. A lightening storm in the far distance. Bob put Alex up on top of the little wood shed thing and we watched a storm to the south around the NC border. The lightening was spectacular, yet so far away we didn't even hear thunder. We went out to see lightening bugs and got real lightening! Nature shows us her beauty in one way or another :)
