Daddy left yesterday... Alex stood outside and waved at him until the car was out of sight. As he was waving he said "Bye Daddy! See you on the 12! (Even though he's actually coming back on the 14th... but it was too cute!!) He turns around and heaves a big sigh "I'm really going to miss my Dad" Awww just breaks your heart.
Good thing that soon after Grandma and Andrew came over. We finished up our homeschooling and did some art with them. Then we went to the pool for THREE hours. Sad that it was the last day the pool is open. The boys had a blast playing together all day :)
Today - as the first day of public school around here, we usually head out to a museum or park... to enjoy the quiet.. but Alex is not feeling well. Sneezing and sniffies. Allergies most likely. We're staying home and just being together today. It's nice.
Homeschooling - today is our second day of our new year. It's going VERY well so far. We're having fun and it's such a joy to see the sparks of learning and curiosity flying :)
Prayer update for Poppop - Alex has progressed to saying Dear God before it now, we've finally gotten him to WAIT until we're all sitting down first, and just the other day he's started adding in some other things... some examples:
"Dear God, thank you for our lunch at the pool, Jesus name, Amen"
"Dear God, thank you for our snack with our friends, Jesus name, Amen"
Today - "Dear God, thank you for Mom's lunch, but i'm just having a snack, Jesus name, Amen"
Tooooo cute!!!
